Health & Welfare / Human Resources Client Services Support Specialist (Full-time)

Come join our team! The Wilson Agency is looking for a self-motivated, group-oriented individual to join its Health & Welfare Support division and its growing Human Resources Support division. This position will be a blend of both Health & Welfare and Human Resources duties, it is charged with maintaining positive client relationships by actively supporting Benefit Advisors and HR Partners. Serving split functions, this position provides solutions to small and mid-size companies with sophisticated 'big company' strategy and services.

This blended position will serve as a point of contact and resource to clients to field plan participant questions related to enrollment, coverage or other related questions. This position will also serve as an HR technical and administrative support that performs work 'behind the scenes' with systems, processes, document management, and supporting client-facing staff. In the HR function, this position will perform a mix of client-direct work (billable to clients) and work within the HR infrastructure (not-billable).

Some of the core functions include:

  • Manage the implementation of new H&W and HR accounts by executing related installation documentation and records for onboarding new clients
  • Collaborate with Benefit Advisors to identify and resolve client conflicts and concerns
  • Work with HR Partners to provide support on client accounts as needed
  • Coordinate compliance due dates in accordance with client-specific HR regulations, maintaining awareness of current HR law and updates that affect clients
  • This position will also need to maintain and develop thorough knowledge of benefit related products represented by H&W
  • Coordinate service and support activities with other staff and Benefits Advisors as appropriate
  • Researching, making recommendations and implementing and configuring H&W and HR Business related systems
  • Apply strong organizational and administrative skills, along with effective techniques for quality control, and a focus on service
  • Have solid technical and business writing and verbal skills such to communicate clearly and effective with co-workers and with clients
  • The ability to research, acquire, and apply group health and wellness information to specific client needs, keep abreast of the industry trends and interpret the effect of changes in the market
  • Assist in day to day administrative needs using Microsoft Office Suite
  • On occasion perform labor intensive clerical tasks
  • Populate and import data and document management
  • Administer onboarding, maintain CRM's, and participate in project management


  • Valid AK Driver's license with a safe Driving Record
  • A High School degree required, GED or equivalent also considered
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Expertise and fluency using online systems, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Work, mobile applications, and process flowcharts (e.g. Visio or equivalent).
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in technical and administrative positions, with at least one involving human resources. Experience must result in demonstrated technical and administrative capabilities, to include system configuration and administration, process management, and document management.
  • At least two (2) years of hands-on experience in benefits administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • Proven track record performing system configuration, document management and administrative (technical) support
