The Wilson Agency is currently looking for a Health and Welfare Benefits Analyst to join our growing team. The Analyst is the backbone of an employee benefits agency, using multiple skills and providing vital services in a supportive team environment. This position is responsible for proposal evaluation, renewal support and reporting for our group health & welfare benefit clients. This position also requires heavy use of computers, the internet, MicroSoft Office and client relationship management systems.

We are seeking a team-oriented individual with a passion for analysis to play a key role in supporting our Clients and Benefit Advisors. The world of benefits has become increasingly complex and expensive, and employers rely on us to help them make the right decisions for their business and employees. This position plays a crucial role in shaping our guidance. What will that look like on a day-to-day basis?

  • Collect and analyze market data.
  • Coordinate with the team's Benefits Advisor to develop a marketing strategy.
  • Execute that marketing strategy by submitting requests for proposals to carriers and service providers.
  • Collect and analyze market benchmark and performance data for clients.
  • Respond to special requests for analysis and recommendations.

Excelling in this role will take excellent analytical skills, strong time and project management abilities, and proficiency in presenting complex information clearly and concisely in written material and verbal communications. You'll need advanced Excel skills, as well as proficiency in the MS Office suite and web-based research. Knowledge of the health benefits industry and products is a plus, but we're willing to teach if you have the right skills and disposition to join our team.

In addition to these skills, we are looking for an Associate's degree in a relevant field, along with three years of experience involving analysis-related work. We'll consider equivalent combinations of education and experience.
